The key to your course is - How many hours in car?
When it comes to the ADI Part 3, to qualify for a trainee licence (Pink Badge) you need to have at least 40 hours training of which a MINIMUM of 10 hours must be in car training
(however we suggest that 20-25 is the best option)

ADI PART 3 TRAINING COURSES
All ADI Part 3 training courses are NOT the same! Do you know what make a great ADI Part 3 Training Course? One that is designed around you!
If you're looking for ADI Part 3 Training Courses, choose a programme that goes beyond simply helping you pass the test. The best ADI Part 3 Training Courses teach you how to plan effective lessons, identify and analyse pupil faults, manage risk, and adapt your teaching to suit each learner. A combination of one-to-one in-car coaching, structured online learning, and practical teaching experience gives you the confidence and skills needed to meet the DVSA's instructional ability standard. The DVSA also recommends training with a registered trainer when preparing for the ADI qualifying tests.
Quality ADI Part 3 Training Courses should cover all 17 competencies assessed during the test, including lesson planning, risk management, client-centred learning, effective questioning, feedback, and reflective practice. Look for courses that include realistic teaching scenarios, detailed lesson plans, personalised coaching, and ongoing support rather than relying on theory alone. The aim isn't just to achieve a pass—it's to become a confident, professional driving instructor who can deliver safe, effective lessons from day one.
